The mix of the hand tool and the mechanical is the look i was attempting to achieve. The clients work encompasses both hand made carvings along with newer machined items.
Having the contrast between mechanical %26 handscraft is fine, but the crossbar's need to blend more, rather than just be at right angles. Also, that really thin part of the turned leg looks really fragile...like it could break at any moment. :)

Seems it would work better if the right side of the R were hand-drawn and not so mechanical.
