Hey, I could use that. I did read SD though, but maybe that's just ME ;)
ReplyThank you, Samdemastrie - Hey if the client refuses we can talk about it, hehe :)) I was working on DS - but yes, it can works as SD also, both ways - DS or SD - depending which name (starting initials) is written below the mark...
ReplySimpatican monogram.
ReplyPerfect.
ReplyI read it as SD also.
ReplyLovely. But better for SD.
ReplyAgree, SD =)
Replygood combination !
ReplySD first, but I don't see why it can't work for DS. If you are looking at it in regards to scale, the D gets the hierarchy.
ReplyThanks for the comments & floats, folks! @Kevin: yeah, a scale hierarchy versus the reading (left-to-right) - depending on the viewer (or the client :)) Thanks, man.
Replyvery modern and clean
ReplyRead SD.
ReplyI think It would work just with you right above the name like " Dinah Shore" besides that look like an SD.
Very nice work :)
Love the monogram. Here's my take on how it reads.
ReplyI totally get the scale hierarchy thing, but there are two factors working against how you *want* it to read:
1) Cultures that read left to right will read the S first, regardless of how much emphasis you place on the D.
2) Traditional monograms (like one would get embroidered on a collared shirt, for example) are displayed with the following hierarchy, left to right: First initial, Last initial, Middle initial. In this scenario, the main emphasis is always placed on the last name - which happens to be in the middle. My initials are JRS, but in traditional monogram format, this would be displayed as JSR, and the S would be bigger than the other letters.

SO...even though you only have two letters here in this monogram, because of what I explained above, I read this as S being the initial of the first name, and D being the initial of the last name.
