This type was inspired by the Poetica's ampersand - the idea behind it was to represent the ancestral roots of the beautician who is from Karnataka but born and brought up in Andhra Pradesh. The font has a southern flare resembling scripts such as Telugu and Kannada. She wanted purely a type based treatment and this was the result of it :)
