I like this one best - has more comedy value and confirms/backs up the 'reel' nose as a film reel. I'm not a huge fan of the darker brown though....

Thanks! This one does have the more comedic value and I was going for some humor. I agree on the the brown! My first inclination was to go black and white but seems like you always see that with film logos, so I tried dark brown but it just wasn't right. Glad you like it, thanks!!

Forgot to add that I did lighten up the brown!

Looking at this again - I also think the font could be re-thought? I like the roundness/softness and simplicity of the logo, I maybe find the font too fussy, maybe it's that visual line through it? Sorry to nit-pick

I hear ya. I typically like to match up the feel and shape of the mark with the type but this seemed to work somehow, for me anyway. Obviously it's a western type font but I felt the contrast of the type style with the cleaner shapes of the mark added a very subtle %22quirkiness%22 to play into the humor side and to keep it from being too serious and refined. I will take a look at some fonts though. Thanks!

I'll see better for this logo a font more simple without any decoration... Anyway the logo is good!!!
