Hey i like this... wouldn't entirely agree about changing the type to a rounded face, there is sharp corners in the mark and that has to be taken into consideration... I don't entirely like diavlo, myself a face that is starting to date already. Cocon is similar or this bad boy http://www.daltonmaag.com/browse/fonts/dama/foco.**I would also look at the page underneath, change it so it a lighter shade, I thought it was the tip of a pencil at first.
Yes, I think more than once change my font of this logo ..)) On the one hand agrees that the sign has sharp and round corners, so it may go something like diavlo, on the other hand there is a certain tradition to make logos relating to the love with rounded fonts, especially if they are restrained like this ...%25)) *I still think that is why they put the logo in the %22training%22 ...
Nice. Very clever concept. I think the icon is awesome. The type is nice overall, but that G is wonky, and looks very squished and out-of-sync with the other letterforms. Rather than the double-story style of lowercase G you have now, I would consider making a custom, single-story lowercase G out of your lowercase P. All you have to do is flip the P horizontally, and add a curved descender. I think this would greatly enhance the harmony of your typography, and your mark, overall.

ReplyNice mark! But, I don't like Diavlo! These fonts from exljbris are fast becoming the next Comic Sans and Papyrus (the other being Museo)
ReplyThanks for the comment saawan. I now understand that the cost to replace the font on a more plastic, I think in the near future'll do it.
