I dont think that just typesetting some type makes a logo. However the composition does take some ability, but none the less. What you have done does not make this unique. Which is what I think a logo/brand is supposed to do. My 2 cents.
Reply@ admarcbart*I completely understand where you are coming from and I would never think just using a font would create a logo either. Altering or customizing a font gets into a whole 'nother story about how much and to what degree. Yes there are some letters which have been altered and yes there was quite a bit of typesetting. The font also has a huge amount of glyphs to choose from which makes it quite different than using Futura and just doing some arranging, but I like I said I hear your point. Truth be told I went back forth with the client and this is the style they really liked. They needed a single color solid type mark that was fun, lively, and versatile.
Reply@ClimaxDesigns*School colors man. What's wrong with a vibrant red though?
ReplyI think it's a great type treatment that makes a very distinctive logo/logotype. I like the red - it certainly adds to the attention-getting image.
Reply@Jeff**Thanks. Coming from you that means a lot.
