It's closer. I'm not sure that the yellow works on the brown though. I know why they're yellow, but maybe it would look better in white, because pins are usually white. Then experiment with shrinking the type about 40%25. What if the background was red and the pins white? That would make the stripes on the pins red, too, which is accurate. You'd have to change the type color though, obviously.

This would look nicer on a brown, bowling lane sort of color. I would also consider a non-script typeface, probably in red or something.
