Type is nice but spaced too close. Might be okay on white BG but here it needs to breath more.

i think the tight tracking actually makes it a little hard to read first time. the ll in the middle kind of blends a little too much for me. I think you could loosen the tracking a little and keep the same effect.

Any idea on what font is being used?

a nice clean cut of a font needs space, increase the spacing. Chalet 1970, my favorite font.
