looks like an oldschool razor blade, with one end broken off.

Thanks for the comment, although I think a razor blade's negative space would looks more distinctively like %7C-o-%7C--O--%7C-o-%7C , and they don't round the corners like the bottom of the U here. *

%5E razor blade (1/2) and %22U%22 too. I think if the mark to come up with a name starting with %22U%22 is vague association with razor themselves disappear.

This concept was done virtually the same way by someone here at LP not long ago. I'll see if I can find it...

I see a dog-tag cut from a side, apart from that it's a neat idea...like it!...

@Ivan: i agree that if the U is visible in the text, then the U in the mark won't resemble a razor as much. but with a formal name it might lost the message I'm trying to illustrate here. also I'm not a big fan to add the U at the end explicitly either...**@Kenny, thanks. So i got a U , a razor blade and a dog tag here. awesome :)**@epsilon, Thanks for the heads up, would love to see that. I tried searching around before, probably I used the wrong keywords. But I'm sure I'm not the only one who play with negative space within a letter.

nice job job k, but epislon is on the money, I think I actually saw the exact execution in one of the logolounge books, could be wrong. I'll have a look...

@ Paul, thanks. would really appreciate it if u (or anyone) can check that out for me. post a link or drop me a mail, i'm really curious. If it turns out looking close, let's just have a good laugh before I take this off and go back to stab my teddy %3B)

I'd leave it up, if its just for fun, I dont think its doing any harm, come to think of it the one I had seen was a H... still looking for the exact logo.

i found these few that are going on the similar direction, *http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/32582*http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/92002*http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/78252*http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/56942**but personally, I find all of them have a different impact, even the Hixon one. (is that the one you're thinking of? or it's not in the pond...)

@epsilon, yeah that was mine a while back. I removed from here because I thought it might not be the most professional thing to have in my folio %3B)

Yeah I'm afraid this idea has been done to death: **http://bit.ly/abNURQ**Nice execution though.

@logomotive, Since I never seen that one of yours, do you find it inapropriate if I keep this one up? as I don't want to offend anyone here. always love your work btw.**@firebrand. thanks. I guess using %22a screw%22 for %22to screw%22 is just as common as using the light bulb for %22to think%22, or using the talk bubble for %22to talk%22.

@ Kathariney, Thanks, not at all. I was just letting epsilon know it was probably mine he saw.

Me gusta el manejo de la %22U%22 dentro de la composici%F3n y la tipograf%EDa es muy bien aplicada, congratulations nice job.
