I don't know about this logo, I don't get the fact that the black is to represent a top hat, it looks more like a very odd shape. I don't think the illustration of the top hat is pushed far enough, on top of that the text is not centered in the hat and the hat its self needs some work (it has some craftsmanship issues with lines not being straight and all). I would also line up the tag line (if you want to break the tagline rule of logo design%3B see rule 37.%09Do not use taglines in the logo.
hmm ... I would probably round off the brim section of the hat as right now it either looks rectangular and viewed from above or really, really thick. I'd also make the text smaller inside the hat and maybe go with a more %22fun%22 typeface. And the tagline should definitely be the same length as the bottom of the hat, if you want it there.
This one is bad. Im sorry, I don't mean to be mean but this is no good. Your lines in your shape are not straight and the text is weak (you did nothing with it, just slapped it on your shape). I get what you were trying to do but it did not work. Once again, get with Sam so we can talk and make a better version.
