BACKGROUND: Mistral Hotel is located on Maleme in Chania. It runs a very extraordinary program that brings singles together, have fun, share the moments of their vacation like a big family. Many activities await those who will decide to visit the hotel. Trekking, cycling, wine tasting etc.
CHALLENGE: The challenge was to create a new logo and identify those messages in a appropriate manner. Singles should be treated gently and therefore the identity should have been friendly, modern and very fresh in order to convince this unusual market.
SOLUTION: Trying to find similar behaviors of those of the single minded visitor, we came up with inspiration from the animal kingdom and that of the turtle. The turtle carries its own home - shell, always on it and could �vanish� itself from the crowd instantly. Singles think similarly. Turtle is also a very popular animal in Chania because of the Kareta-Kareta programs. The colorful shell symbolizes the different and various personalities every single may obtain and the circular shape of the shell also brings meanings of friendliness, togetherness and company in mind.
RESULT: Stationary, annual catalogue and sign were created after completion of the visual identity.
